Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

We love this place. Old school Oregon Chinese. The egg rolls are sooooo good. handmade, batter dipped and deep fried. No joke. Legit and delicious. The owner cooks, takes orders, busses and rocks a meal you won't regret. We love: egg rolls, BBQ pork, chow mein, CHICKEN AND RICE SOUP, beef with broccoli. We visit Gold Beach every year and wait a whole year to eat at Wong's Cafe. It's worth the wait.

Being Asian, sometimes you need your comfort foods. That being said, was not expecting 5-star, gourmet Chinese food based upon reviews but how hard can it be to cook decent Chinese food, right? The place wasn't busy when I got there. The owners spoke Cantonese, and my hopes were raised. Maybe this will turn out to be a good experience! Foolish me... Settled on the 'Mar Poo' (or Mapo) tofu as it was chilly, and a warm, flavorful and spicy dish sounded appealing. The basic ingredients of this dish HAVE to include a spicy chili/bean based sauce, meat, fermented black beans and usually appears dark in color. 30mins later, I picked up my order and once the package was opened in my room, I found instead a pale looking concoction of tofu, meat, corn, carrots and other veggies. WTF? See pictures for a visual aid. For $8.50, I should have stuck with the more 'typical' dishes like 'Sweet & sour chicken with chow mein or pork fried rice', 'General Tao's chicken', and the like. At least I was more likely to get what I had in mind *pictures of their take-out menu are provided below*

The lady is very sweet who served and cooked our meal, but the food was inedible. We had the dinner for 2 letter C. It was all battered and fried and the chicken almond chow main tasted like it was out of a can and it was served with fried crunchy noodles. The fried rice was steamed rice with a few slices of mystery meat on top. Even with a bad hangover I still say no.

The 4 star review left by locals seems a bit much. The owners are incredibly nice but their food is far from impressive. Our soup for lunch was a Asian bland chicken noodle but I didn't expect much. Our main dishes were equally bland. The only thing I could taste was the msg added to the food. It's highly frowned upon where I'm from to add MSG so the fact that this place added it was a disappointment. :( Do not waste your money.

Amazing little dinner. The Oolong tea is complimentary if you dine in and the owners are super hospitable. And of course the food is delicious.

Unassuming looking on the outside, yet very clean and nice little Chinese-American cafe! The owner, Amy, is so very kind and gracious. Even asked if we were ok with MSG, to which we asked for a little but not too much. Ordered a tofu dish but asked if we could have something added - and it came out wonderfully delicious. If you're in Gold Beach, this is a very nice little Chinese-American restaurant. I lived in the Bay Area for decades and have had all kinds of great Chinese food. This is Gold Beach and it was a very nice meal. Would happily return next time. : )

We are vegetarians and were very pleased with our meal. In fact, it was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Gold Beach! You can request no msg too. And the lovely tea was free.

Disappointing fried rice. It was sticky and had cold pork appetizer chopped and put on top. The owner was nice but the food was below our expectations.
